Built for Year-Round Outdoor Living

An insulated patio roof isn't just a cover, it's a genuine extension of your home. Each panel is built from a roof layer, an insulating core and a ceiling layer, clipped together to form a weather tight, virtually seamless finish. The result is a covered area that stays noticeably cooler in summer, warmer in winter and quieter in the rain, with a clean, flush ceiling that looks and feels like part of the house.

Every insulated patio we build is designed around your home: your choice of roof and ceiling colours, a gable, skillion or flat profile, and whether it sits freestanding, is elevated above your house roof or attaches to your existing roofline. Engineered and installed to Australian Standards for wind and structural performance, with options like recessed downlights, ceiling fans and privacy slats built in from the start.

Key Features & Benefits

Year round climate control. Insulated roof panels keep the space noticeably cooler in summer and warmer in winter, so it's comfortable to use almost any day.

Noticeably quieter. The insulated core dampens the drumming of rain and hail on the roof, unlike a single-skin patio cover.

Built to last. Corrosion resistant steel or aluminium construction with a durable, easy-clean coating, backed by manufacturer warranty on the roof panels.

Engineered for Australian conditions. Tested and certified to Australian wind and structural standards, with panels available rated up to high bushfire attack levels.

Choose your look. A wide range of roof and ceiling colours, plus a smooth flush ceiling or a decorative v-groove profile, to complement your home.

Add on ready. Built to integrate with recessed LED downlights, ceiling fans, heaters and privacy slats for a fully finished outdoor room.

Is an Insulated Patio Right for You?

An insulated patio suits homeowners who want a permanent, low maintenance, all weather cover without the higher cost of a moving roof system. It's ideal for outdoor entertaining areas, alfresco dining spaces and outdoor kitchens where year-round comfort and a finished, house-like ceiling matter more than day-to-day flexibility, and it's a smart way to add genuine usable living space to almost any home.

Insulated Patio FAQs

How is an insulated roof different to a standard patio roof?

A standard patio roof is a single sheet of material. An insulated roof is a sandwich panel, a roof layer, an insulating core and a ceiling layer, clipped together to form a sealed, weather-tight system. That extra layer is what keeps the space cooler in summer, warmer in winter and quieter in the rain, with a clean, flush ceiling finish.

Can it handle heavy rain and hail?

Yes. The panels clip together to form a weather-tight seal, and the insulating core noticeably dampens the noise of rain and hail compared to a single-skin roof, so you can still hold a conversation underneath during a downpour.

How does it attach to my home?

Insulated patio roofs can be built flat, gable, skillion, or as a gable-and-skillion combination. We can create freestanding, elevated or attached structures, to integrate with your home's existing roofline.

What is it made from, and how long will it last?

Insulated panels are built from a steel or aluminium roof and ceiling layer bonded to an insulating core, finished with a durable, multi-stage coating for strong colour retention and corrosion resistance in the Australian climate, backed by manufacturer's warranty.

Can it help with heating and cooling costs?

Yes. The insulating core keeps the covered area noticeably cooler in summer and warmer in winter, reducing how much you lean on fans, heaters and air conditioning to stay comfortable underneath it.

Can I add lighting or other features?

Yes. Insulated patios can integrate recessed LED downlights, ceiling fans, heaters and privacy slats, plus translucent panels that let natural light filter through a covered area.
